Will The iPhone 5 Be Truly 4G?
With Android going about making huge waves, Apple has remained in the background with their trademark tight-lipped silence until they’re actually ready to announce their next big thing. Yet with all the research about how Android is currently dominating the market share for smartphones a lot of people are looking towards Apple to set the standards for 4G.
There are debates on whether the iPhone 5 will be a “true” 4G phone although other sources seem to point to the iPhone 6 which is probably looking at a 2012 release, but with carriers carelessly tossing the 4G label around what’s to stop them from labeling the iPhone 5 a 4G phone? Michael Nace at iPhone 5 News Blog thinks that it boils down to one word – money. He also thinks that Steve Job would not compromise nor allow carriers to carelessly use the term 4G with regards to the iPhone 5 unless it were truly a 4G capable device and not merely a HSPA+ 3G device.
However if the iPhone 5 were to be released as a souped up version of the iPhone 4 do you think iPhone users would negatively? Is 4G on the next iPhone really that big of a deal to you?
