ViewSonic’s 10-inch Oak Trail Tablet

During Computex 2011, ViewSonic unveiled their new 10-inch tablet device that would be running on Intel’s latest Atom processor, Oak Trail.

What makes the ViewPad 10Pro so unique is that it allows you to dual boot two operating systems, Android and Windows 7 Professional, and you can swap between the two different platforms at any given time just by tapping an icon on the display. The tablet will be aimed at enterprise customers as there are more business and professional applications for the Windows 7 Professional operating system.

This feature does not come cheap as the tablet will be priced between $699 and $799 when it goes on sale in Taiwan some time in June, although no word on whether it will make its way to the States. Seems rather pricey for a tablet device that can dual boot Android and Windows 7.

After all Toshiba has recently launched their Windows 7 Professional tablet that will feature an even bigger display. If anything this tablet could double as work and play; swap to Windows 7 while at work, swap back to Android when you clock out, but at such a steep price, do you guys think it’s worth it?
