Toshiba Might Have Killed Off Their Windows 7 Tablet

Published

Some of you may recall Toshiba’s 11.6-inch tablet they were showing off at CES this year that remained unnamed but was running on Windows 7 and that it also has the same design as the 10-inch Honeycomb Thrive tablet, slightly larger of course.

It was supposed to sport the Oak Trail Atom chip, a 1366 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD but according to sources the tablet may never make it to the market, at least according to Digitimes’ sources as they hear it has been removed from Toshiba’s product roadmap. No reason has been given for the removal of the product from Toshiba’s product roadmap but apart from the tablet, it seems that Toshiba’s Chromebooks have also been removed.

All this remains to be seen, perhaps we will be seeing an updated version of the 11.6-inch tablet at Computex 2011 instead?
