T-mobile’s G2x gets unofficial Android 2.3 update

Earlier we mentioned that T-mobile USA had tweeted that they were well on their way to testing Android Gingerbread 2.3 on the G2x before the phone had even hit the market. Well good news to those who have T-mobile’s G2x smartphone! You may now proceed to update your Android from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3. Keep in mind however that this is an unofficial leak therefore by installing the ROM you are opening yourself up to some potential risks which may very well void your warranty. Proceed with caution if you choose to go ahead with the upgrade.

Hopefully with this update it should fix the random boot issue that seems to be plaguing some of its users.
