Sony Ericsson announces Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro
Sony Ericsson has announced the addition of two new phones to its Xperia Android line up. Targeted at the folks with smaller hands or who just want smaller phones in general, are the two new Xperia Mini phones. The Xperia Mini will be a Gingerbread-ready device out of the box and features a 3″ multi-touch, scratch resistant screen, backed by Sony’s Bravia Engine with Reality Display. It features a 1GHz processor and a camera capable of 720p HD video recording – the smallest smartphone in the world that is capable of doing so.
The Xperia Mini Pro is essentially the same as the regular Xperia Mini, with the addition of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a front facing camera that isn’t present on the Xperia Mini. Other than those features, the two phones are pretty much the same. The Xperia Mini will be arriving in August, while the Xperia Mini Pro will be available at some time in Q3 2011. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the details.
