It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S II is quite a hit in Korea as they have managed to beat their previous sales record of the Samsung Galaxy S which sold 1 million units in 70 days. The Samsung Galaxy S II on the other hand took only a month before managing to sell 1 million units, which by all calculations, is about one phone sold every three seconds, meaning by the time you take to finish reading this article Samsung could have easily sold at least 10 devices already.
This beats the iPhone 4 by miles which is probably thanks to Samsung’s home ground advantage. Samsung attributes the success of its phone to its hardware, especially the 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and the phones thin factor. I wonder where Android fits into their success? Either way, congratulations to Samsung for pushing out such a stellar device.
