NVidia’s CEO On Why Android Tablet’s Aren’t Selling

Despite all the hype and rather impressive hardware that a lot of Android tablets seem to sport these days, compared to the sales of the iPad 2, the figures just weren’t impressive enough.

Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVidia thinks that this could be attributed to the lack of apps available in Android Market. He was quoted as saying “Consumers want more apps for Android tablets.” In an interview done by Brooke Crothers at CNet News the CEO of NVidia also went on and stated that “It’s a point of sales problem. It’s an expertise at retail problem. It’s a marketing problem to consumers. It is a price point problem.”

However despite the weak start for Android tablets the CEO of NVidia also feels that considering the improvements that have been made and manufacturers recognizing the need for continuous improvements have probably put Android tablets back on the path of getting their problems solved.
