If you regularly do mobile banking on your Motorola Atrix 4G, you might be in for a rude shock especially if you have updated your software to v4.1.83 which added new SSL certificates among other updates. It’s thanks to these new SSL certificates that have caused certain banking applications from functioning. Motorola has confirmed that American Express, Bank of America, Chase and Discover are affected while Wells Fargo and Citibank’s apps run without any issues. Motorola also plans to issue a workaround for affected users but currently suggests that everyone access their bank’s mobile banking features through Android’s web browser instead.
