Motorola Droid X Gets Official Gingerbread Update

About a week ago we posted that Motorola would be rolling out updates for some of their devices soon, and the Droid X was one of them. Well good news because it looks like this weekend select Droid X users will be able to update their Droid X to Gingerbread 2.3.3 official and lose the unofficial update that they may have been running!

However if you are not one of the lucky few selected for the soak test, not to worry as the official Gingerbread 2.3.3 for the Droid X has already been released but it will have to be installed manually. Now if you are really impatient want to proceed and install it manually, proceed to this link but take note that it will all be done at your own risk, so make sure you read and follow the instructions very carefully before proceeding.

If you believe in patience being a virtue then just hang in there as it’ll be more than likely that the rest of the masses should be able to get their hands on the update as the week progresses.
