Meet ASUS’s Padfone

Well it looks like the earlier leaked photos of ASUS’s Padfone turned out to be true. No details on the specs or the price yet but for now it looks like it’s true that their Padfone will be a 10.1-inch tablet with a dock at the back where you can insert the 4.3-inch phone, basically allowing you to transfer whatever you were doing on your phone onto the bigger 10.1-inch screen of the tablet.

The docking station at the back of the tablet would also allow for charging of the phone, although this would mean that it would also drain the battery of the tablet. This is a great idea to combine the phone and tablet together. That way people will have less bulk to carry and that means that probably only a WiFi version will be sold since we’re assuming that by connecting the phone to the tablet it would allow the tablet mobile internet access, although this can’t be a good thing for carriers since that would mean less money.
