The LG Revolution smartphone (going by the moniker VS910 if you are all for model numbers and names) did jump through the tasks placed ahead of it by the FCC a couple of months ago, but since then, there was not a single beep from them – not at least until today. Apparently, a Class II Permissive Change Notice for the device made an appearance on the FCC today, where the letter on the right just confirmed that the version of the Revolution which debuted on the FCC in March will not make its way to the US. Fret not, dear readers, as the revised version of the LG Revolution that the FCC approved of today will be sold in the US instead.
No idea on just how different the new Revolution is compared to the previously approved one, since both of them will place nice with CDMA/EV-DO 850/1900 bands, support LTE, feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Still, as long as it can arrive Stateside in any form, we are sure that those looking forward to the smartphone won’t mind.
No concrete release date is set yet (nor the pricing), although you can more or less expect to see it arrive very, very soon.
