KDDI’s iida’s INFOBAR Is Uniquely Designed

As part of KDDI’s summer line-up of Android devices, it seems that the INFOBAR A01 is probably the most striking and unique in terms of its exterior design and how the phone’s user interface is designed as well, as you can see in the photo above. As far as specs go, KDDI’s INFOBAR A01 will be featuring:

• 3.7-inch LCD with 960×540 resolution
• Android Gingerbread 2.3
• 8MP camera
• e-wallet function
• digital TV tuner
• infrared
• USB, microSDHC ports
• Bluetooth 3.0+EDR, Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b/g/n)
• CDMA GSM
• 6-axis motion sensor
• size: 118×63×11.8mm, weight: 113g

As you can see with most Japanese handphones they will come with NFC technology, much like Japan’s version of the Xperia arc – the Xperia arco.

Sure the UI is kind of unique and very nicely designed but exterior wise it just doesn’t look like the type of phone that would do well in the States.  What do you think, is that a phone you could see yourself purchasing?
