iPhone 5 Not Expected To Have NFC

There have been talks about whether Apple will be adopting NFC technology for the iPhone 5 and now it looks like there most probably will not be NFC technology featured in the iPhone 5. Since NFC technology isn’t as widespread in US as it is in certain parts of Asia, Japan for instance, it will not make a huge impact for those living in the States.

It also seems very unlikely that potential iPhone 5 buyers might be put off buying the iPhone 5 just because it lacks NFC support. Android on the other hand seem to be very certain that NFC will be taking off this year. There are a couple of Android devices that are already NFC enabled, the Nexus S comes to mind for one, so will Apple be playing by its own rules like it always has or will they turn around and decide to produce an NFC capable device in order to keep up with their Android competition?
