iPad Users Sharing Personal Info With Publishers

What with all the fuss lately about phones collecting location data and privacy you would think that people would be more apprehensive at giving their personal information away.

That doesn’t seem to be the case with iPad users, whereby apparently 50 percent of them are willing to share their personal information with publishers of digital magazines. This seems like a pretty big number so if you ask me I think that the majority of that 50 percent just click “Allow” when prompted whether they would like to share their information with the publisher simply to just close the window and get along with using the app.

Others might think that maybe if they don’t click “Allow” certain features might be locked for them. Those that do click “Allow” I’m going to guess and say that they’re pretty generous with their information, perhaps they want the information to be there should there be some kind of competition or free prize giveaway and they want the publishers to know where they live in order to send the prize. Perhaps we’ve all been so used to just clicking “I Agree” when you sign up for forums or software installation that we think if we say “I Disagree” we will not be able to proceed.
