iPad 2 To Hit Taiwan 20th May?
“It should be here anytime now,” said Shih Mu-piao, vice president of Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan’s leading telecom operator.
What this delay or lack of official information has done is that it has created a halt in purchases of tablets in general in Taiwan, with consumers unsure of when the iPad 2 is coming out and if they should be considering an alternative, perhaps the Playbook or the other Android tablets out there.
If anything, this is good news for Apple if they ever wanted an indication that their iPad 2 are like hotcakes while other tablets belonging to Android or RIM are suffering because of that delay. If you’re living in Taiwan and you have been holding out on the iPad 2 all this while, another couple of weeks of waiting wouldn’t hurt. Alternatively if you feel that you just can’t wait the HTC Flyer is already available for sale.
