iPad 2 as Fast as Cray 2 Supercomputer

Look at how far we have come, to the point where the iPad 2 is just as powerful as the Cray 2 supercomputer but only at a fraction of the size. The Cray 2 supercomputer was built in 1985 and at that time it was considered to be the fastest machine in the world only to be outdone 5 years later in 1990.

Apart from being a fraction of the size, it also requires much less power and cooling. It’s times like these that put things into perspective. Are we really complaining that this tablet is only single core and not fast enough, or why doesn’t it have a front facing camera and etc. However I think we need not worry about size anymore as I doubt tablets will get any smaller, perhaps lighter and thinner but not smaller.
