InfoSonics Launches Ultra Compact Phone In Latin America

In case you were wondering who InfoSonics are, they are a provider of wireless handsets and other related products to OEMs, carriers and distributors in Latin America and Asia Pacific. They also design, develop, manufacture, markets, sells and provides after-sales support for their own proprietary line of products under the verykool® and other private label brands.

So it seems that they have now gone and launched their own ultra compact phone, the i3152G phone in Latin America that was created with females and young people in mind, pictured on the right. As you can see it is a rather compact phone and we can see how this might appeal to the female market with it being able to fit into handbags and small purses when they’re out for a night in town. One of its highlights would be its MP3 player system that comes with 2GB built in and features external controls to allow access to the player without having to flip open the phone. Other features according to the company’s press release include:

• Dual band (850/1900 or 900/1800)
• VGA camera with digital CMOS
• MP3, MPEG4, FM radio and voice recording capability
• Bluetooth connectivity
• Data capabilities with USB 1.2, WAP 2.0 and SMS/MMS messaging
• 2GB internal memory
• Speakerphone, 64 polyphonic ringtones, 2.5mm audio jack and stereo headset included

If you ask me it, it’s design is quite reminiscent of Motorola’s Aura.
