India Might See the iPhone 4 Arrive May 12th
For those in India who have been waiting for the iPhone 4 to hit their shores it seems that there’s a chance they might very well be able to get the iPhone 4 come May 12th.
Both carriers airtel and Aircel will be the ones who will be selling the iPhone 4 with airtel already accepting registrations for the phone. However India is only expected to get the GSM edition of the iPhone 4
Airtel has assured that “A very large amount of the network is 3G ready”.
Pricing on the phone still remains to be seen although some have speculated it will be rather costly not only just for the device itself but for the data plans as well as Vodafone and Airtel have paid obscene prices to the Indian government just for 3G coverage.
One does have to question the decision as to why only are they bringing in the iPhone 4 now when the possibility of a newer model might just very well be around the corner?
