Google’s Enhanced iOS Web App

Based on the image to the right (courtesy of Phone Arena) it looks like Google has revamped its web site for iOS devices. As you can see it features some colorful icons which help to specify the different search categories, i.e. images, places, news.

A separate category shows more services offered by Google such as YouTube or Google Maps or Translate. Apparently this interface has not been implemented just yet but a reader from Phone Arena managed to get some shots of it while it lasted, before it reverted back to its original look.

Maybe Google was just testing the new interface at that time? Who knows? Either way I think it looks more spiffy and provides a more user friendly look overall. There has been no official word from Google either with regards to this revamp so stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
