Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich

So only just minutes ago Google confirmed their next version of their Android OS – Ice Cream Sandwich. What Google hopes to accomplish with Ice Cream Sandwich is to bring a state of the art UI while keeping it completely open source. They also aim to get the Honeycomb OS not just on tablets but on phones as well.

Some other features of the Ice Cream Sandwich OS include face/head detection whereby what the user sees on their device will rotate according to where the users face is at. Video calling will also be affected by this by detecting who is talking and will zoom in and focus on the person talking, and switching to the other person if the other person starts talking.

These are just some of the features that Google hopes to bring to their new Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
