At this year’s Computex, Gigabyte made their entry with two devices, one of which is the S1080 tablet that features a 10-inch display and will be running the Windows 7 operating system. The device will also be running on a 1.66GHz dual-core Intel Atom N550 CPU and comes loaded with 2GB of RAM, 320GB of HDD, GMA 3150 graphics with VGA output, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 and also a 1.3MP front camera. All things considered given the specs it’s almost like a netbook just minus the keyboard.
It does seem like a pretty powerful tablet and it will cost you too. The S1080 comes attached with a $700 price tag, pretty steep compared to the other tablets in the market these days, and it is set to be shipped to the US some time in June, so if this is your cup of tea then you would not have to wait too long before these tablets hit the stores.
