Who would have thought that the dual booting fever/environment would catch on in the world of smartphones? Yet, that is exactly what happened with the Fujitsu Loox F-07C, where it will arrive in the Land of the Rising Sun via NTT DoCoMo. In the telco company’s preliminary specifications sheet, this landscape slider of a smartphone tips the scales at just 7.69 ounces, and is capable of running not only Symbian but Windows 7 as well (Home Premium, 32-bit Japanese edition). Imagine that – a modern day handset that packs in all the power required to run a full fledged desktop operating system! Of course, your eyes will not appreciate Windows 7 on a small 4″ LCD display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, since we are already so much more used to something larger. To know what runs underneath the hood, read on after the jump.

An Intel Atom 1.2GHz processor will power this device, where it will be accompanied by 1GB RAM, 32GB of storage space on an eMMC, a microSDHC memory card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with face detection capability, and a VGA front-facing camera for video conference calls.

Battery life would be the main concern here – we are looking at 600 minutes of standby time, and 370 minutes of talk time, although when you are running Windows 7, you will just have to be happy with 2 hours of juice. No idea on how much this will cost, but it is one of the more unique releases to start off the week with.
