There were some rumors earlier this month about the possibility of AT&T to allow Android users to download and install third party applications. Now it seems that those rumors turned out to be true and it is now official, AT&T Android users can now access third party stores. This was allowed in conjunction with Amazon’s Appstore although now that the floodgates have been opened who knows what will happen?
Future Android devices will come up with the option, the Samsung Infuse 4G to be the first. Existing Android phones the Aria, Captivate and Inspire 4G are said to be receiving the update soon, so keep an eye out!
