Apple To Add Another Backlight Manufacturer For iPad 2

Rumor has it that Apple has found another backlight manufacturer for their iPad 2. What this means is that this could help to increase the availability of the iPad 2 which is currently facing shortages due to numerous issues. Taiwan based company Coretronic is the rumored supplier for the iPad but now it looks like Everlight Electronics may very well be joining the line-up.

According to reports Everlight Electronics has delivered samples of its LED backlight products to Apple in hopes of becoming a component supplier for the iPad 2. Currently there is no news on whether the deal has gone through or not but if it does perhaps this will help to lessen some of the iPad 2’s shortages.
