An Invisible iPhone?

It looks like the Germans are working on an interface that uses our muscle memory to communicate with our phone. Instead of communicating with our phones through the touch screen’s glass, we can instead communicate with it by using our palms instead. So instead of fumbling in your pocket when your phone goes off at an inconvenient time, you can instead make gestures on your palm that would mimic the action of muting the ringer for instance, or declining the call.

I’m sure most of us iPhone users can unlock our phone’s screen with having to look at the device itself, some of us can even send text messages too without having to look at the screen too, so this concept isn’t that ludicrous, perhaps just a little odd seeing people walking in the streets or during a meeting making odd gestures out of the blue. While we won’t be seeing any of these features any time soon, let’s not forget that right now we have the ability to communicate with our phone with our speech, in fact Android has such a feature already and let’s not forget Apple’s partnership with Nuance and ownership or Siri we should probably be seeing that feature making an appearance in iOS 5.
