A Keyboard Case For iPad

Published

While it seems that tablets are directly affecting the sales of PCs, it has not stopped case makers such as Kris Perpich and Zach Zeliff of formerly Apple and Microsoft respectively, now of Adonit, from creating an iPad case which when opened and folded out looks a lot like a netbook.

Typically when one wanted a physical keyboard to be used in conjunction with the iPad, one would require Apple’s wireless keyboard which was the solution at that time, but totally negates the whole point of having an iPad as opposed to a netbook/laptop – mobility.

It seems that the folks at Adonit have created a case with a keyboard attached and when closed resembles your typical iPad case. The downside is that this case was created for the iPad 1 in mind, although the iPad 2 version is in the works. So if you do own an iPad 1 you could proceed to their Kickstarter page and have a look. iPad 2 users fret not as your time will come, until then I guess you will have to be patient or you could always check out the iKeyboard.
