HTC Desire S is now available in Australia

It seems that the Aussie appetite for Android running smartphones is increasing by the day as more top-notch Android devices keep getting introduced Down Under. The Nexus S which is an Android 2.3 running device is already available in Australia and now the HTC Desire becomes the second Android Gingerbread-sporting device to make it to the Aussie shores. The HTC Desire S in Australia in priced at 726 USD (699 AUD) and those who find this price sticker annoying can choose to wait and buy it on contract. Aussie carrier Telstra is expected to launch the Desire S and as a contracted device it will be way cheaper than the unlocked version.
