Concept M-Pad tablet appeals to designers
As we all know, tablets are great for enjoying content, but creating content? Not so much. Inherently, it’s getting better, but a completely touchscreen based interface and the lack of buttons for customization and advanced commands hamper the experience greatly. With that in mind, a designer named Volker Hübner recently came up with a concept tablet that’s been designed to address the issue. Called the m • pad, this 15.6″ tablet is catered to professional designers, architects and developers. It supports the use of input with a pressure sensitive stylus, and a whole array of different controls on the left side of the screen to aid with content creation. It also features feet on the back of the tablet that allow you to adjust the inclination angle of the tablet, giving you an angled surface which makes it easier to draw or write on when you’re on a desk. It also comes with an array of ports including USB, Ethernet, Firewire and a memory card expansion slot for your extra peripherals and thumb drives. While it’s only in concept right now, it looks pretty sweet, and we sure hope it’ll become a reality one day. Read up more about the m • pad.
