OK, while this piece of news doesn’t have anything to do with folks living over in the US, but just in case you’re traveling to China anytime soon and might see yourself staying there for quite some time, do remember that China Unicom will be offering an Android 2.2-powered smartphone in the form of the K-Touch W700. The name itself might lead some to think that this is a Sony Ericsson W700 Walkman ripoff, but we do know that the innards are updated with some of the latest hardware including a Tegra 2 graphics processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB ROM, a 3.8″ WVGA touchscreen display, a 5-megpaixel camera on the back and a VGA camera in front, an integrated FM radio and GPS support. No idea on whether it will be exported outside of China though.
