Apple iPad 2 is the best tablet says Consumer Reports

Apple products have always received a mixed response from Consumer Reports and its last big release in the smartphone arena – iPhone 4 was severely criticized for the ‘death grip’ issue. To be honest, the criticism was correct because the antenna of the iPhone 4 was indeed a major problem and hence CR not recommending the iPhone 4 was the right thing. The Apple iPad 2 though has been well received by CR and it has been rated as the best tablet in the market by a fair distance. CR is particularly impressed with the pricing of the Apple iPad 2 given the fact that Apple is also known as a brand manufacturing products that demand a premium pricing. CR compared the iPad 2 with tablets from manufacturers such as Archos, Dell, Motorola, Samsung and ViewSonic. Consumer Reports thinks that Motorola XOOM is the closest competitor to the iPad 2 at the moment, though the iPad 2 will have competitors stifling it in the future.
