Images of a Sony Ericsson device running Windows Phone 7 was leaked online over the weekend, leading people to speculate about the possibility of a SE WP7 phone. Well, it looks like Russian mobile-tipster extraordinaire has sent out a tweet to crush all hopes about such ideas. Apparently the QWERTY-slider WP7 phone is nothing more than a prototype phone and was discontinued so we won’t be seeing the device up for sale. This makes sense since Sony Ericsson has mentioned that it wants to be the world’s largest Android handset manufacturer and creating WP7 devices would only hamper their efforts.
