Samsung 8.9-inch LTE Capable Galaxy Tablet Announced for Nordic Countries

Samsung may not have tasted much success with its Galaxy lineage tablets in the US, especially when compared to iPad sales, but it is still thinking out of the box to create an impression elsewhere in the world. The current focus is the Nordic countries as Sammy has gone ahead and announced an LTE (Long-Term Evolution) capable 8.9-inch version of the Galaxy tablet for this region. With this, Samsung becomes the first manufacturer that has announced its plans to release a device that is compatible with European LTE bands. Samsung will either be using the 800MHz or 2.6GHz band for the LTE radio. Another option could be to employ a dual-band radio for greater compatibility across the continent. The same tablet version could be announced for Verizon subscribers in the US, in the not so distant future.
