According to some rumors online, Motorola’s Droid X phone will be receiving an update to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) starting this Sunday. It has been tweeted by source familiar with the matter, that the Gingerbread build for the Droid X is stable – which means that it should be ready to be rolled out to phones. However, with nary a word from Verizon or Motorola, it’s best to take these rumors with a pinch of salt. After all, it’s better for Motorola to take their time to release a stable update instead of one that might brick a phone. Stay tuned for more details.
