Cricket Wireless isn’t one of the noted names around, but it keeps doing its bit when it comes to gaining a stride or two in its bid to compete with the giants. The last time this small time CDMA carrier (more known for its low-budget and contract-free plans) made news when it announced the Samsung Galaxy Indulge-a derivative of the Samsung Galaxy S. This time around, the achievement is bigger and better and it has the potential to shape the future of this company. Cricket will be offering 4G LTE services courtesy of an agreement with wireless broadband provider LightSquared. It is a roaming agreement which will be valid over the next few years and it will compliment the carriers existing data network. With this development Cricket will now look to rope in better 4G LTE capable devices and that might include some big names.
