Apple looking to increase iPad 2 sales

Published

Apple is putting in efforts to ensure that its iPad 2 sales are well thought out and customers do not have to stand in long queues only to discover that the tablet is out of stock. The Cupertino-based giant is obviously looking to throttle sales, but with the right kind of strategy in place. Though Apple hasn’t confirmed any of these strategies, insiders are reporting that the Apple stores will not sell iPad 2s as soon as they arrive in stores. Instead, they’ll hold back the stock for a day before releasing them for sales. Apple is taking such steps because the iPad 2 selling system has already created problems, leading to inventory errors in a few cases.
