Apple iPad gets Live TV, Courtesy Time Warner

Apple iPad is a breakthrough gadget and the only thing lacking on the magical doodad until now was Live TV. Time Warner has taken care of that as well as it has gone ahead and introduced a Live TV application for the iOS tablet. This Time Warner Cable Inc. application will render 30 cable channels on the device including the likes of Comedy Central, Fox News, and MTV. It all sounds exciting, but the picture is not as rosy as it seems. iPad owners will not be able to enjoy Live TV on the go because the app will only works if you connect through your Time Warner cable modem at home. Time Warner does not have the licensing agreements to run Live TV on the go and that’s why iPad users will have to hook it up with the cable modem. Live TV on the iPad does sound great, but then not many iOS tablet owners will be interested in spending money on the Time Warner Cable subscription.
