Apple iPad 2 Release Delayed in Japan

Apple iPad 2 has been a runaway hit in the US market and now the rest of the world awaits the arrival of this high-profile gadget. Apple is supposed to release the second generation iOS tablet in more than 25 countries, but Japan will now be excluded from that list for the time being. The obvious reason for the delay is the tsunami and earthquake which shattered the country to the core. Cupertino has released a statement which reads:

“We are delaying the launch of the iPad 2 in Japan while the country and our teams focus on recovering from the recent disaster,” Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said in an e-mail. “Our hearts go out to the people of Japan, including our employees and their families, who have been impacted by this terrible tragedy.”
