Apple Expected to Sell 600,000 iPad 2 Units This Weekend

Apple is always the center of attraction when it comes to consumer electronics and it’s beacuse of the kind of gadgets the Cupertino based giant offers from time to time. The next big thing is of course the iPhone 5, but there is still a fair distance to go before it becomes tangible. What has become tangible though is the second generation iPad (iOS tablet) which is already available through the online medium while it is going to hit the retail shelves later in the day. Apple is obviously excited about this development and it believes that the sales figure will be somewhere around the 600,000 mark this weekend, which is reflective of the way Apple will control the tablet market in the time to come. The closest touted adversary to the iPad was the Galaxy tablet, owing to the success of the Galaxy lineage smartphones, but Samsung disappointed on that count. People are now looking up to the Motorola Xoom to put up a fight, but the iPad is still emerging as a clear winner for now.
