Acer intros 3 new tablet models in New York

Acer is keen to make an mark in the tablet market and it has proved to be a fierce competitor in past; a quality that made it the second largest P.C. manufacturer in the world. Acer was in New York and it showcased 5-inch, 7-inch and 10-inch tablets working on the Android OS. There was another 10-inch variant on show and it was running on the Windows operating system. Acer realizes the importance of the fast growing tablet market and the target of course is Apple with its iOS tablets rocking the show. The WiFi versions of all these tablets will be available by April while the 3G models will surface a month later. Interestingly, the 5-inch tablet will also double-up as a smartphone. The tablet market has a number of newcomers arriving and Apple needs to pull up its socks-just like it always does.
