The Twitter app for Android was previewed in a video leak earlier today, but it looks like the updated app won’t stay hidden for long. Twitter has officially announced the updated client for Android phones which brings the whole Twitter experience on Android closer to the other official Twitter apps available on other platforms. The updated Twitter for Android also comes with some new features – the app can work without you having to sign in, meaning that if all you want to do is just read tweets or check out what’s trending without signing in, you can. The app went through a UI-revamp and is a lot more streamlined now, and it works with the Universal Search found in Android. Twitter for Android is available now as a free download and can be obtained from the Android Market.
