TazTag TazPad: world’s first Android tablet with NFC

It’s going to be awhile before we see NFC widely adopted in this side of the world, but if you don’t have an NFC-enabled phone, fret not – even tablets come with NFC too. TazTag has just announced that they will be showing off their TazPad Android tablet at CeBIT this week. The TazPad will be the world’s first Android tablet that packs NFC capabilities. Other than that, not much is known about the tablet – it runs Android (version unknown), has a 7″ display, full HD support, WiFi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee (a standard of communication used in low-powered devices). The tablet will start shipping in Q2 this year. Do you think tablets are much too unwieldy to use as NFC devices?
