Sony to release 2 new tablets?
Engadget recently got their hands on some information regarding two new Sony devices slated to arrive later this year. The devices will be interestingly shaped tablets running Windows 7 and Android respectively. First up we have the Windows 7 tablet which is supposed to be Brava-branded, and will have a 9.4″ display and a Pinetrail-class Intel Atom processor and will cost $799 when it ships this fall. The Android tablet will be of a clamshell design (that will resemble an oval cylinder when closed) and will feature dual 5.5″ touchscreens. It runs on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and will pack rear and front cameras. The clamshell Android tablet will arrive by the holiday season this year and will have a price tag of $699. Looks like what Sony Ericsson said about not joining the tablet market doesn’t apply to Sony after all.
