It looks like Foursquare is in for some upcoming competition. SCVNGR has just struck a deal with Sprint to include its app in all future Virgin Mobile phones. SCVNGR is a location-based app that is a direct competitor to Foursquare, and its inclusion by default on smartphones should give it a healthy boost of new users and exposure – though nothing is stopping users from deleting the app and downloading another location-based app. The first phone to be preloaded with SCVNGR will be the LG Optimus V that is currently on sale for $149.99 on Virgin Mobile’s pay-as-you-go plan. How many of you use SCVNGR over Foursquare or vice versa, and why?
