Samsung reveals bada 2.0 to the world

Over at the Mobile World Congress and amidst the flurry of Android devices and announcements, Samsung hasn’t forgotten their very own bada operating system. They gave a presentation that highlighted the features of the next version of bada – 2.0, to show that they’re still keen about using it on their phones. The next version of bada brings multi-tasking capabilities, push notification messages, NFC support, WiFi Direct, FlashLite 4, text-to-speech and vice-versa, HTML 5 compatibility and more. Nothing jaw-dropping or something we haven’t seen before but it’s good to know that Samsung is keeping another player in the smartphone game, even though bada has yet to rear its head over in the US. Will bada be overtaking the world? Highly unlikely, but it’s one more operating system for the developing community to play around with.
