Samsung Galaxy Mini won’t have a huge price tag
At the Mobile World Congress, Samsung unveiled a new entry-level Android smartphone. On the opposite spectrum of the Galaxy S 2, this Android device won’t be clamoring for any “most powerful phone” or “phone of the year” awards, as its been designed for the budget-conscious in mind. Called the Samsung Galaxy Mini, it packs a 600MHz processor, a 3.2″ display, 3G connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera and 150MB of internal storage as well as a microSD card slot for expanding its memory. At least the device comes with Android 2.2 but if we were to learn from the Galaxy S – don’t expect Gingerbread, officially at least. The phone will retail for $50-75 on a 2-year contract, and will be arriving sometime this year.
