Nokia might be unveiling a powerful MeeGo smartphone at Mobile World Congress this year. According to a bug report on the MeeGo site, it refers to a powerful device (that could be a tablet or smartphone) that runs on the MeeGo operating system. According to the report, the device sports a 1.6GHz processor (that should be made by Intel), a 480 x 854 resolution display, and HSPA+ support. The usual accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are also mentioned in the report. The specs seem to point to a very powerful smartphone coupled with the MeeGo operating system – it sounds like a very promising device. Could this be the phone to lift Nokia from their slump, after seeing their Symbian market share overtaken by Android? Hopefully the Finnish mobile giant will give us some details in a couple of weeks. Keep those fingers crossed!
