There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Nokia’s MeeGo-powered N9-00 phone before this and now Reuters has come out and stated that the company has ended development for this phone, before the phone actually launches. Despite the lack of future development, it’s been said that the phone could still be unveiled very soon, even if it’s not the finished product. We’re talking about the device being unveiled this week at Nokia’s investor day in London or possibly during Mobile World Congress next week at Barcelona. Considering that a high-end MeeGo phone was one of the ways that Nokia could challenge high-end smartphones such as the iPhone and Android-powered devices, it’s going to be interesting to see how Nokia will face the challenge from other companies now.
