Nokia lets us go behind the scenes in creating the E7

Nokia has just released a video detailing the process that went behind creating their E7 phone. Their lead industrial designer, Shunjiro Eguchi goes into detail about the inspiration behind the device – “making the complex simple” when designing the phone. The Nokia E7 is a long-awaited Symbian^3 phone from Nokia that has been delayed for quite some time now. Initially planned to be available in December last year, the device has been pushed back for a February 2011 release. The E7 is an enterprise-focused device that features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard as well as a 4″ AMOLED display and it runs on the Symbian^3 operating system. The video also details the decisions behind the keyboard, mechanics, and physical properties of the Symbian^3 phone that is expected to ship soon.
