iPhone mini rumor surfaces again

We haven’t heard the iPhone mini rumor for some time and now the Wall Street Journal has reignited the rumor by stating that sources claim to have seen a smaller iPhone, codenamed the N97. According to the rumor, the device is about half the size of the original iPhone and will be sold for around half the price. The phone is also said to be significantly lighter than the iPhone 4 and offers an edge-to-edge touchscreen display, not to mention some form of voice navigation. The reduction in weight will probably be a welcome improvement for folks who thought that the iPhone 4 was a little heavy for its size.

It was also mentioned that Apple could finally be ready to launch its MobileMe cloud service for free and it could also possibly be a platform that Apple will be using to launch its streaming music service.
