It’s been a while since we heard of a phone blowing up, but now reports have surfaced, claiming that Apple’s iPhone 4 blew up. According to the report, the phone became extremely hot while being used, with the battery of the phone swelling up, dislodging the back panel and catching fire. The phone was dropped on a table where it left some visible burn marks, as well as burning the user’s hand and also setting off the fire alarm (oops). The owner has since paid a visit to the Apple store in order to get a replacement device, but it isn’t clear what the final outcome is.
